General Terms and Conditions
Appartements Hofquartier AG
Below we present our General Terms and Conditions, which apply to the processing and handling of your booking. Please read these General Terms and Conditions carefully.
1 Subject of the Contract
Appartements Hofquartier AG grants the guest the right to use the booked apartment for private purposes. Commercial use is permitted only with the explicit consent of Appartements Hofquartier AG.
2 Reservations and Bookings
Rentals of one month or more
The full first monthly rent, or the proportionate amount for the nights booked in the first month, is due on the booking date or on the date of contract signing, but no later than 10 days after booking or contract signing.
The final cleaning fee amounts to CHF 200.00 and is due together with the last monthly rent. Monthly rent can be paid by bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, Twint, or in cash.
By agreement with Appartements Hofquartier AG, the total apartment price may also be paid in advance in full by credit card or bank transfer. Appartements Hofquartier AG reserves the right to maintain the booking only if the first monthly payment or the proportionate amount for the first month is received on time. Subsequent monthly payments must be paid in advance for the following month and credited on the first day of the month.
If payment is not made in full, Appartements Hofquartier AG may vacate the apartment 10 days after the due date and rent it to another party. Personal belongings will be stored for 60 days and may be collected after settlement of all outstanding amounts. Additional costs caused by the guest will be charged separately.
If the booked apartment is unavailable, Appartements Hofquartier AG may provide an equivalent apartment.
Rentals of up to one month
The full rent is due on the day of arrival, but no later than during the stay. The final cleaning fee is included in the rental price. Payment may be made by bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, Twint, or in cash.
The total rental price may also be paid in advance. Appartements Hofquartier AG maintains the booking only if payment is made on time.
If the booked apartment is unavailable, Appartements Hofquartier AG may provide an equivalent apartment.
3 Cancellation
- Free cancellation up to 15 days before arrival
- Less than 15 days before arrival: 100% of the total amount
- No-show: the total amount or a maximum of one month’s rent
For rentals of one month or more, free cancellation applies up to 30 days before arrival.
The guest authorizes Appartements Hofquartier AG to charge the provided credit card in case of cancellation. Travel insurance is recommended.
4 Payment Arrears and Termination of Contract
By accepting these terms, the guest authorizes Appartements Hofquartier AG to charge outstanding amounts to the provided credit card within one day after the due date. If no valid credit card is provided or payment fails, Appartements Hofquartier AG may vacate the apartment after 10 days and rent it to another party.
Personal belongings will be stored for 60 days and released after settlement of all outstanding payments. Additional costs caused by the guest will be charged separately.
5 Security Deposit
No security deposit is required. Any significant damage caused by the guest will be invoiced after departure.
6 Loss of Keys
All keys must be returned at check-out. In case of loss, costs between CHF 150.00 and CHF 400.00 may be charged for key replacement or lock changes.
7 Arrival
Check-in is generally possible from 3:00 p.m. Early check-in or luggage storage may be arranged upon request. Please contact the booking team.
8 Departure
Check-out is no later than 10:00 a.m. Late check-out requires prior agreement; otherwise, an additional night will be charged.
Keys must be left on the table and the door closed. The apartment must be left tidy. If additional cleaning is required, a fee of CHF 150.00 will apply.
9 Number and Identity of Guests
The maximum number of guests stated on the website must not be exceeded. Appartements Hofquartier AG must be informed of all guests. Only registered persons may use the apartment.
Children under two years are excluded from the maximum count. Pets are allowed only upon request and confirmation. No extra charges apply. Non-compliance may result in immediate termination without compensation.
10 Conduct During the Stay
The guest must respect other guests and tenants and comply with house rules. Quiet hours apply daily from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Appartements Hofquartier AG may evict guests who violate these rules without compensation. Unauthorized commercial use results in immediate termination.
11 Services
For stays of six nights or more, weekly cleaning with towel and linen change is included. Additional cleanings are available for a fee.
Cleaning staff and technicians may enter the apartment for service purposes. All ancillary costs, utilities, TV, internet, waste disposal, and laundry facilities are included. No reduction applies in case of internet disruptions.
12 Liability
Appartements Hofquartier AG and the apartment owners accept no liability for damages arising from the use of the apartment, including property damage, fire, theft, or criminal acts.
13 Our Website
All apartment details are provided with care. Appartements Hofquartier AG accepts no liability for errors or third-party omissions and may change website content at any time.
The company may amend these terms when required. Users are responsible for reading the applicable General Terms and Conditions.
14 Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. Invalid provisions do not affect the validity of the remaining terms. Statutory provisions apply in place of invalid clauses.
The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Lucerne.
